Befriending the Mind - with Maggie Clark - Weekend Workshop - Saturday 31st Oct 2026

When we meditate the instructions can lead us to conclude that thinking is wrong or the enemy of a peaceful life. But the mind is a beautiful thing and learning to understand it and mindfully accept it are fundamental to the journey, if we want to find inner peace.

The intention of this weekend workshop is to explore how our minds construct our world, bringing curiosity and joy as we lighten up around the way we mould our world views.

When : Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st Nov 9am-4pm each day.

Where: Ananda Buddhist Centre corner Alexandra St & Munro St, Kawana, Rockhampton, OLD 4701

Fees: $150 ($75 per day) is required to cover the basic costs for the weekend. Which includes vegetarian lunch, plus tea and coffee breaks. If the fee is a problem, please contact us, as we would like everybody to have access to the dharma.

The teachings are given as a gift to the community. Dana (which is a reciprocal gift to the teacher) is very welcome if you wish to share in generosity.

What to bring: Please bring cushions and anything that you need to make yourself comfortable while you meditate.

Information and booking : Please contact Irena on 0417259669 or email info@anandabuddhist.com.au for more information or to make a booking.
