Weekend teaching - Sat 25th 9am - 5.00pm

The Conquest of Death and Dying & How to Help the Deceased.

No one wants to die and discuss death yet it is the only thing that is certain. The fear of death is said to be the cause of all fears in life and its inevitable end. Death is the reverse order of how one's body was formed. When the physical constituents are unable to hold together, death happens even without any illness. If you are interested what happens to the consciousness or soul during the process of dying, at the time of death and afterwards, then this workshop is for you.  In Buddhism, there are profound teachings on how to prepare for the inevitable and learn to accept, understand and empower to conquer fear associated with death and learn to help the lost soul of the dead  in 'Bardo' for forty nine days. It can teach you a skill how not to suffer from extreme loss and sadness when someone close to you passes away.

In this two day special workshop you will also receive comprehensive teachings on impermanence, death and process of dying as it is taught in Tibetan Buddhism. On Sunday you will receive a special empowerment of Bodhisattva Khasarpani and receive teachings and a manual how to perform "Soor Smoke Offering" to help the dead, who hang around forty nine days in a state of limbo or Bardo, the intermediate state. The soul of the dead stays around loved ones not knowing he is dead. This smoke offering help to release the dead from the confusion that he is still alive etc. Otherwise death of someone may be followed by numerous bad things to the survivors.
