Lama Choedak Rinpoche
Even if someone broadcasts all kinds of unpleasant remarks
About you throughout the three thousand worlds,
In return, with a loving mind,
Speak of his good qualities—
This is the practice of bodhisattvas. - Gyalsay Thokme Sangpo (1297-1371)
'Gyalsay Thokme Sangpo' a Tibetan monk was born with great compassion and selflessness from a tender age. He became a celebrated spiritual warrior known as 'Bodhisattva' who vows to put others before oneself at all cost in all lives until all sentient beings are liberated. He wrote a poem in which he expresses 37 of his affirmation to live the life of a spiritual warrior. It has become so popular that HH Dalai Lama teaches on the text several days before he bestows any major empowerments. On this weekend, Lama Choedak Rinpoche will bestow the oral transmission and reveal practical Buddhist teachings from this famous poem. The poem synthesizes all the essential practices of pan Buddhist teachings and practices. Rinpoche received teachings from HH Dalai Lama in 1975 in Bodhgaya and he has taught this at various places.
